Donations

Donations are pretty straight forward.  Community members, visitors, or just anonymous benefactors may want a way to contribute to the community without becoming members or even coming back.  Maybe they are just really nice people who like what you're doing.

For them, we have a donation mechanism as shown below.

Donations give the donator absolutely no rights to anything in the community.  They do not own voting rights and they do not own any part of the community fund.  A donation, once given, is final and can't be taken back - although someone could submit a payout proposal that if voted through could return the funds.

That's not to say donators do not get anything.  They get the satisfaction of knowing they contributed to the community's cause and they will also be forever listed as supporters on the community's supporter page.

Donations are instant.  They don't go through the normal governance process.
